2012: Mishaps and Lessons
2012, I must say, was one of the most difficult years I have experienced so far. There were a lot of mishaps along the way, which inevitably gave me some life lessons that I should keep. Here are some of the things that I have learned, usually, the hard way: 1) Don't be afraid to say what you want. People do not have accurate mind-reading capabilities to always know what you want from them. You don't have to demand though. Just ask nicely and let the person decide whether they will fulfill your request, compromise, or turn it down. Don't be afraid to say what you feel. They may say that actions speak louder than words but verbally expressing how you feel towards someone or a situation minimizes misunderstanding and presumptions. 2) Level your expectations whether it is with someone or an outcome that you are waiting for.
